In the image, a Venetian carnival mask, ghostly pale, gazes at us intensely but without eyes. It wears high-ranking garments, yet its identity is impossible to discern. The mask is an archetype as ancient as humanity itself, and long before it was carved, it was traced on the face with earth and ash.

It hides, reveals, protects, and transforms. It can be a necessary shield, a ritual tool, or a means to express what cannot be said openly. But it can also be a prison, a disguise that distances you from yourself. In its ambivalence, the mask does not lie: the wearer communicates something, even if it is not what it appears to be. From an oracular perspective, this card speaks of our relationship with identity, roles, authenticity, and the theater of life.

Your surroundings might offer you the opportunity to reinvent yourself, to play with identity without being judged. Perhaps you are in an environment that embraces transformation and understands the symbolic value of masks.
