THE MAGICIAN

Will – Miracle
Self-Deception – Perplexity

A mysterious figure, wrapped in a bronze cloak with blue skin, the color of the threshold between worlds. The Magician raises two scepters that seem to catalyze invisible forces. He is not a theatrical figure, but a sage, a knower of the hidden laws of the universe. From ancient magical treatises to folkloric tales, humanity has always had an ambivalent relationship with the figure of the magician. On the one hand, deep down we all believe in miracles; we know that every rule has an exception, and we understand that the lack of knowledge of all the rules generates wonder today where tomorrow there will be understanding. The Magician is simply the one who knows these rules before others, through study or intuition.

On the other hand, the number of impostors who have hidden under the magician’s cloak has generated perplexity or outright mockery toward this figure. However, even within the deepest rationalism or the most intense religious faith, human beings seek answers in the invisible and attempt the impossible through the paths of mystery. Is turning water into wine not magic? And walking on water? Miracle or magic? In the end, it is the same thing. Because if a non-theatrical magic exists (and it does), it means that the world is still full of things to discover.

In the Gospel, there is talk of the birth of a Child destined to be the king of kings. In that same text called the Bible, however, magic and those who practice it are condemned. And yet, who were the first to intuit the birth of that child and to undertake a long journey from east to west in order to find him? Three Magi! Which means magicians.

So, my dear person, if your subconscious has chosen this card, it may be trying to tell you that:

If the card speaks of you – Light

You are able, at this moment, to direct energies with clarity and power. Your will is not a whim, but a tool of transformation. You can make possible what seems incredible, if you act with alignment, knowledge, and awareness. Your intuition and your openness to the invisible connect you to what may appear to be a miracle.

Questions for you
– What could you achieve if you focused your true will?
– Do you feel drawn to something unknown or mysterious?
– Where can you find information that gives you access to higher knowledge?

If the card speaks of you – Shadow

You may feel drawn to power without understanding its responsibility. What you desire might slip away from you, or you may feel tempted to force reality, manipulate situations, or fall into self-deception. The card invites you to distinguish between true ability and performance, between authentic knowledge and illusion, so as not to lose the boundary between inner truth and external deception.

Questions for you
– Are you telling lies to yourself or to others in order to obtain what you want?
– Have you recently relied on an appearance of power you don’t actually possess?
– What deep conviction could be the source of a self-deception?

If the card speaks of the world – Light

The context around you is fertile for extraordinary or seemingly impossible events. Invisible forces are at work, and you may witness synchronicities or manifestations of authentic “magic.” This is a period in which hidden knowledge, intuition, and will can interact to create surprising results.

Questions for you
– What events around you seem to be moved by a higher intelligence?
– Is there someone or something around you accomplishing something extraordinary?
– Where can you observe and collaborate with what defies apparent logic?

If the card speaks of the world – Shadow

Pay attention to your perplexity, listen to it: the context may be nebulous and deceptive, and someone could be playing with appearances or credulity. Perplexity is natural, and at times it is the necessary warning that helps us remain cautious in the face of danger.

Questions for you
– Who, or what, is trying to fascinate you without showing you the truth?
– Is there a collective self-deception in which you participate, even unconsciously?
– Is there any situation or person that causes you perplexity?
